There they lay entwined
His head on her heart-
Their breaths in sync -
Soft - against the silence of the room.
She sat upright,
Holding him,
With her gentle hands.
Caressing his head,
Hoping to pattern his dreams,
Of that moment.
He surrendered.
To the peace of that moment -
Let go of all the constraints,
That his heart had held -
Against the ideologies,
Of the many ways of life.
Together, they made a unit -
In each other they found solace -
A space of time,
Where silence seemed a blessing.
Was this what they called as Love?
What they both felt, unarmored,
At that moment?
