I shoot a prayer of gratitude,
Heaven wards.
As I see the internship,
Ticking along in its final hours.
A lot I had learnt,
In these 8 weeks
Of hard-work and grit.
Challenged to the end of
What I had seen as my limit.
Yet, thankful,
That the journey might stop now.
A little weary am I,
Of the daily pressure.
Looking forward to some leisure,
And a painless farewell.
As a I bid adieu,
To the only one,
My dreams lead me to think of.
Yet soon ,
A new life would commence.
Filled with more dreams-
A little matured now-
More of the ceaseless wonder.
I choose to retain my innocence still.
Not give way to the worldly wise ways,
That people seem to expect of me.
A new tag,
A new chip on the shoulder.
We are now the seniors.
We have a new identity in the campus.
The sheer thrill of beginning my
Final year ,
Buzzes in my brain.
My adrenaline rush over-pumped.
But my eyes,
Will always search for
That friendly familiar face,
That I hold so dear.
Coz that’s what makes me.
Through all that breaks me.
My happiness remains incomplete thus,
Till I am at one,
With my favourite face,
Always sought out,
In the crowd
